IP is one of my most favorite worlds because I love to send my sims houseboat around the whole map and then stop for a while at various dive stops along the way. There at routing issues as other players have pointed out however thankfully I never experienced that many like other players did. If you are willing to spend a little time sorting out the routing issues the world is very playable. I followed most of @Ciane's advice on the following link (not all) and my IP world is still playable and very enjoyable :) I think ciane also has a save version of the map with the issues already addressed including lot changes that have caused problems so that might be a good option for you.

I also enjoy custom worlds and with IP installed there are several to choose from however I still love Rflong7's Legacy Island
