Is there a Mod for that?

Is there a Mod that keeps pets away from community lots? I don't mind when they want to travel with to the park or festival lot, but I don't want them wondering around all throughout clubs, bars, etc

  • If NRaas mods are in play, then StoryProgression can be used to disallow species or other groups of sims by way of SP > Lot Options on each individual lot you wish to restrict (NRaas GoHere is required for the mod's Lot Options restrictions to be honored).

Or, this time if GoHere is in play, the lots or venues contained within can have door (gate, archway) locks set on them that restrict animals from entering. In this scenario, the area to be restricted has to be fully enclosed either by way of fencing or walls and doors. Currently this method does not extend to sims who might be carried in like the SP way does, so in theory sims could still carry their kittens and puppies into such a restricted area and set them down.
  • If you can't lock the doors, there are three garden gnomes in the buy catalog that have signs. One will ban cats from the entire lot, one will ban dogs, and the other, wild animals. You have to set them for that once you place them on a lot, because the default is to invite the animals. There's a heart on each sign when they're set to invite the animals, and when you set them to ban them, they frown, and the sign has a circle with a slash through it.
  • Oops!

On Topic ... I actually love a lot of things in the Pets EP ...
But don't use it in my games now.

I have a soft spot for critters sometimes,
and the strays and animals roaming around just drive me nuts in game.

    Good luck finding a solution ... I couldn't!
    Happy Simming!

Well igazor just gave one solution :)

As for the strays NRAAS Register can deal with them, just set to 1 or even 0 if you want to disable them all together

Register is one of the few mods I haven't put in yet ... :D

@igazor is always helpful in assisting folks with the use of mods.
I still mess around with tuning the mods I do have, to where I want them.
Pet's just hasn't been a high priority in my labored efforts to set things right around my towns.

Looking at the bright side ...
If I live long enough, I might have enough time to get everything straight.
I'll have the whole dang nursing home playing Sims 3 if I make it that far ... :D

    Happy Simming!

Indeed he is, he's helped me a lot. I try repaying the favour by helping others as much as I can too :)

And I certainly know how you feel, when i had a fresh install of sims 3 it took me days before i could actually play because of all the tuning and getting everything right I had to do first and then additional weeks and weeks of fine tuning when i came across little niggley bits. Now I keep backups and backup of my backups and backup of those backups of my backups of all the tuning settings :D :D :D (had a harddrive die with everything on it :( )

Anyway back to OP, I just use Register to control strays, and Igazors method to control animals on lots.

Additionally I have extremely stingey strict rules on how many pets can be in the world and per household to prevent the world being filled up with them. I've completely forgot where those settings are, I believe SP -> Options: Sims

Yes! That's what I do. And it works for the wild animals as well. Wild horses running around in a small park can be annoying.
