Is this World Adventures trailer fake gameplay?

WA doesn't give sims the ability to steal paintings. That looks more like a sim taking their own painting from the easel.

EA has always staged certain things here and there when it comes to trailers... but nothing in this trailer is technically fake. Klepto sims can steal a variety of things and I'm pretty sure this includes easel paintings. I've had a sim steal a pet bird before. The tiny story they're trying to tell in this clip is a mention towards the sort of "quest" sims can go on. Adventure boards outside of the base camps in each destination world give opportunities to complete that involve tomb raiding, collecting, and talking to other sims. Sims can randomly get mini opportunities from the homeworld too with an excuse to visit one these worlds like for an example, "drop off any easel painting worth $750+". I'm guilty of never reading the opportunities so half the time, I'm not really sure what the quest is about but they are stories/mysteries for you sims to solve.

I probably did I poor job of explaining but I tried. :p Plenty of free guides to look up such as SimsVIP and Carls. This is one of my top fav packs. Gives your sims something to do and tomb raiding doesn't have to be the reason to travel. It's something I have my sims do every other generation. Recently I decided to download custom tombs made by others and place those in the homeworld instead. No clue why I've never done this before because it was really fun!

There's some clever editing there and I didn't recognize most of the locations despite doing the adventures in France multiple times, but I didn't see anything you can't do in the game.

The interaction would have been for the Sim to sell the painting as though they had painted it but it was made to look like he was sent on a mission to steal it from the elder
