Edit: And just out of curiosity, what makes the younger generations so challenging? I usually know who my heirs will be at birth, or decide shortly afterwards. Are you not allowed to control anyone else in the house?
The monitor allows you to click on it as a baby or toddler and ask for food/changing/attention etc.
And yes, you can only control the current Torch holder. So for the younger generations that starts when they are little.
