Issues with Launcher
Anyone else having issues with their launcher? When I click play on the EA site, it loads but then cancels out the load. This started happening on Monday night. Is there another way to launch my game besides EA?

- If your game is on Patch 1.67 (retail disc, Steam, or the Mac version), then yes you can start the game with a Launcher bypass by using the TS3w.exe file within the base game's Program Files, or a shortcut to it, to start up. If your game is on Patch 1.69 (Origin for Windows controlled) then no, the game must be started up by way of Origin and its handoff to the Launcher.
- My game is fully up to date but after the most recent MS update (early March 2020) the launcher no longer works for me either. It pops up then closes right away or sometimes it will stay up but the play screen and all the buttons are blacked out and it eventually closes ?. I’ve been searching all over for a fix!
- @jonesyKS What kind of install is this: Origin, disc, Steam, etc.? Have you tried moving your entire Sims 3 game folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop? If not, please try it now.
It's also a good idea to clear the cache for Internet Explorer. The launcher stores data in that cache, even if you never use IE yourself. Be sure to uncheck the box to preserve data for favorite sites.
