Launcher crash when I scroll through installed content?

The Launcher is temperamental to say the least especially if you have tons of store and 3rd party cc 3packs installed.
What you are still seeing is the content saved in the DCCache folder: the files with .dbc extensions is custom content installed from other sites and the files with the .ebc extension is EA store items.
You could first try to put those .dbc files in a separate folder on your desktop, clear caches then start up the launcher and see if that helps.
You also might want to just click on the X in the Unhandled page fault message rather than trying to respond.
Another thing you might want to try is installing/reinstalling the Superpatch. You will receive a message the patch is installed .. proceed anyway for a reinstall.

I have a mac, so I'm not sure how to find that stuff on here. I only see a downloads folder, I don't see a DCCache folder. Also, when the thing pops up, there is no "x" to click on, I have to click yes or no for something to happen. Where do you find the super patch?

Oh...I did not realize you were on a MAC mickeysimmouse. My apologies, I should have asked. I am not familiar with a MAC so unable to advise.

Actually, all of this stuff works exactly the same way on Macs as it does on Windows. And the Launcher is just as temperamental, even more so it seems on the Mac version.

You were right in that it doesn't matter how you answer the "Do you wish to debug it" question. By the time that prompt shows up, the game has really already crashed.

Sorry, but if you have any installed CC or EA Store content at all, then you must have a DCCache folder someplace. It's supposed to be in your game folder, that is the one in user\Documents\EA\TS3. Stuff in your Downloads folder is only there for the Launcher to read and potentially install. Stuff that is already installed lives in dbc and ebc bundles in DCCache as @brappl218 said. Perhaps do a Spotlight search for DCCache to find where this folder is. If you actually have two game folders going on, that could be part of the problem.

If your game folder is actually not in Documents but buried someplace in Applications or Transgaming, then that is also a problem. That's the (very) old way of arranging things and hasn't been supported since before Patch 1.12, over five years ago.

Patching (or re-patching) up to 1.67 should place your game folder where it belongs in Documents. The SuperPatcher is available here:

@igazor I found the DCCache folder. It's where it should be, I just didn't see it haha. I only have five items in the folder though, and they're all those white things with the top right corner folded over. You know what I mean? I feel like there should be a lot more things in there? But then I found the DCBackup folder and there's about 569 items in there, all the same white things with the folded corner. Did somehow the content end up in the DCBackup folder instead of the DCCache folder?

When you install sims3pack content using the Launcher, it reads them from Downloads and installs/puts the items into two different kinds of bundles in DCCache. The dbc bundles are your custom content. The ebc bundles are your EA Store content. When a bundle reaches a certain size, the Launcher automatically begins a new one. So over 500 installed items actually living in 5 such bundles is not unusual at all.

The DCBackup folder doesn't matter. That's only there so that if you ever export something like a sim from your game for others to use, the content you have will "stick" with it. The game doesn't need any of that stuff in DCBackup except for one tiny file that has to be there called ccmerged. You can actually move all that stuff out of DCBackup (except for the ccmerged file) and store it elsewhere to reduce clutter if you want.

It also doesn't matter what any of these files look like. The generic paper looking icons are a function of your computer's operating system not knowing what "kind" of files those are, but that doesn't change how the game uses them at all.

So from here, you could remove everything from DCCache entirely and have no installed content at all. Or you could test the bundles one at a time to see which one is causing the crash. But if you do it that way, you have to make sure the first bundle of each type in DCCache is numbered zero each time. It might actually be more efficient, if you can manage it and still have access to the content as you downloaded it originally, to dump all your content, verify that your game can startup with a clean DCCache folder, and then slowly start installing some of it back in, thereby rebuilding those bundles (hopefully without the problem items).

Oh! So the things in the DCCache folder are all of my content just grouped together? That makes so much sense thank you so much. I'm going to take out the bundles and start putting them back in to see where the problem is. Thank you so much. If something wonky happens I'll post about it in here. Thank you! @igazor

@igazor hey! I know that this was resolved a while ago, but the issue is back. I've done everything that I did before and the dbf package thing that was causing the crashing I removed. Thing is, there are 95 items in that package that I would like back in my game, but every single time I reinstall any of them, the message pops up and it crashes. I tried about ten different individual items. I went through every single one of them in the launcher and clicked show file to remove them from the downloads folder and have them in a new separate folder just on my home screen of my computer. I tried double clicking at least ten different individual items to try and pinpoint which content was the actual problem, but every single one of them causes a problem. Is it that the thing bundling them together was somehow corrupted and now they're all corrupted? Am I going to have to search for all of those items on the internet and completely re-download them? This is very baffling, as I'm pretty sure I've done everything right and tried everything.
