New Computer; Update Looper

So I finally got Win 10; now I'm transferring Sims 3 over to the new computer. Got everything loaded, all the EPs and SPs, but I can't seem to update to Version 1.67. Still showing as Version 1.62. When I click Update Now, it says "Uploading process is running. Do you want to cancel this process and exit the application." I click "Cancel", as in No, I do not want to cancel the process, but I know it's not uploading. It has been six years since I last switched computers so there's something I'm doing wrong. Anyone know what?

    I take it this is a retail disc install and you are trying to patch through the Launcher? That method has always been prone to failure. I would suggest using EA's Super Patcher to bring your game up to 1.67. You will want to deny any offers to go through Origin as that will land you on 1.69 instead.

    Yup, it was all from discs, those quaint old-fashioned thingies.

    Will try super patcher and see what happens.
