NPC's with Attitudes!

This is a first for me.

My Sim's bathtub broke, she didn't have the time to fix it so I had her call a repair-person. Tuesday Sears came to do the repair work. Now, I don't know what had happened to Tuesday out there in the Sim world prior to coming to my Sim's home, but she showed up highly peeved off.

Tuesday has the 'grumpy' trait, but what she was emulating was more than your standard grumpy behavior. She screamed before she entered my Sims home then angrily made her way to the bathroom where she screamed before starting the work. I waited until she had finished repairing the tub (and after she screamed again) before I sent my Sim in to 'chat' with her. My Sim chatted and when she was done Tuesday just went off on her. She humiliated her, then she insulted her! She seemed more than willing to pick a fight with my Sim! She clearly had some frustrations she was wanting and more than ready to work off!

This behavior was so left field for an NPC repair-person that it caught me off guard. So, I did what anyone would do, I had my Sim fire her since her behavior was uncalled for and unacceptable. This seemed to just make Tuesday's day so she insulted my Sim one final time before leaving the property. The game gave a notice which said something to the effect: "I'm sorry things didn't work out. Just pay me what you owe me and I'll leave."

As I said, this is the first time an NPC Sim has stepped so far out of character. I don't know what to make of it. I also don't know what happens to a Sim once they have been fired from their job because I never have had to fire anyone before. I hope she is still a part of the game and will show up in town at some point. If she does show up, maybe I'll have my Sim talk with her. That is, after the red negative relationship marks go away.

I love when things like that happen. And you're like me, reacting like it was irl. Yeah, I think a new repair-person will show up the next time. If the game doesn't have a new one available it will create a new one. If you have Master Controller I think you can check how many repair-persons there are in the game, and if Tuesday Sears is still there (she should be).

@carlystur03 - I hope Tuesday can retain her position as repair-woman. I know she won't be sent back to my Sim's home if they should call for a repair-person; but I wouldn't want her to lose her job.

@Cororon - I get enough 'attitude' and drama from the Sim who reside in my worlds, my active household(s) most definitely included. I certainly don't need the NPC population gearing up to join this party. Don't get me wrong, I love realism in my game however, when wrench and hammer wielding Sims show up at my Sim's home ready to fight, that's where I draw the line ;)!

Tuesday hasn't disappeared from my Sims relationship panel, so I guess she's still in the game.
