Question About Level 10 to 9 (SOLVED)
I'm not certain whether I should post this here or in the tech section. My question concerns the mechanics of the game and game play options.
I have several Sims who are level 10 in the military career. However, when these Sims go from being a part of my active household to become regular townies, the game keeps setting them back to level 9. Are level 10 Sims not allowed to keep the status they have worked for once becoming a townie? This also happens with Sims in the Medical career.
In an active household, Sims who are level 10 in the military only work a single day a week, which leaves them with four days they can be assigned (by me) to do other non-career work such as working the register at one of my shops, helping to maintain my world's environment, tutoring children or training future military folks (or potential athletes). At level 9 they have a three day a week schedule which severely limits what I can accomplish with them.
I would really hate to 'retire them from service once they reach level 10. Plus, I'd hate for them to lose the income of that days pay. However, the balance of my world depends on Sims performing more than a single job (plus, it keeps my population count down if I don't have to bring in additional Sims).
So, is this level 10 to 9 a game thing which happens to Sims in all careers or when they become townies? Or, are my Sims slacking off at work and just being demoted?
