Should I remake the Lowell's

Doofus me forgot to grab my saves folder before deleting/regenerating my sims 3 folder(no more launcher-installed stuff!) and it runs a little better for this reason. I did remember to grab my zip file for my mods folder and the folder itself though.

Should I remake the Lowell's or start with a new set of sims(or one sim)

    I don't know.

Were The Lowell's important to you? If so, I would say remake them and give them a new start. If they are a family which you are okay with letting their story end, then I would say create a new household and start a new adventure.
  • @mw1525 I had just started over with them and they'd found out they were expecting, but my game kept crashing. Plus I was playing in Riverview then and I don't have any store content back in my game, including worlds. :)

Since they were accidentally lost, I would suggest trying to remake them and continue their story.

In the future, you may want to keep a copy of all your created Sims on a flash drive for just such an event. In my own game I keep a copy of every Sim in the 'SavedSim' folder. Plus, I export them from CAS (as simpacks) before finalizing them. Once they are complete, I make a copy of their library file (changing the long alphanumeric name of the .package file to their name) and keep a back-up copy of it as well.
  • @mw1525 well, I moved their cas files to my desktop, I was just a doofus and forgot the save folder.
