Sim can't interact with other sims. SOLVED!!

Retreat to Edit Town. Evict the entire active household to the side of the screen, copy the empty residential lot down to the bin, bulldoze the original, replace it with a copy, and move everyone back in again without having left the screen. If the fiance is part of a different household, do the same with theirs.
