Sims 3 disc install on Windows 11?

IreneSwift​  I've split your post into its own thread because the other thread is from 2022.  I can't answer your question directly because I have a Steam install, but what I can tell you is that I haven't noticed any increase in issues installing via disc since Windows 11 became standard.  There have been a few cases where the game didn't seem to install properly, but honestly fewer than in previous years, and relatively speaking, in line with the overall decline in posts here.  So it doesn't appear to be an impossible task.

Maybe someone else here has actually installed the game in 11 and can give you better info.

Thank you.  I hope it won't give me any trouble installing it, but if it does, I'll keep trying, or maybe see if my son the webmaster/programmer can do it for me.  He's always willing to help when I need him.  🙂

I have a Wondows 11 laptop running the 1.67 disk install and have had no problems with it. However, I did disable OneDrive as soon as I set it up out of the box. I'm not sure if I even allowed OneDrive at all or if I had uninstalled it at the end of the laptop setup.

Anyhow, it's gone, so no issues with files being moved out of My Documents folder while playing.

The only issue I get is Max Memory crashes, and that's entirely my fault for leaving my game running for days at a stretch.  😂
