Honestly. I don't get the point of randomizing the traits. Seeing as the game's point is that you EARNED the right to pick them and not randomize them. That's why I like parts of Aaroc's rules better, he seems too lenient on some, while making sense on other rules. It also depends what traits they are to given as to meaning "more control". Such as insane gives you not as much control seeing as they do what they please anyways. I don't think you get my point. Having a family-oriented trait makes you want more kids, say having 5 for the surrounded by family lifetime goal. Managing a family of 7 or 8 is hard. Especially with so many other goals you are trying to achieve for the legacy, and the fact kids will need help for homework in school. If you have 3 teenagers and 2 children all needing help with homework... Don't you think that's a little hard and rough to do? Therefore some kids won't "grow up" well due to not having outstanding grades and you won't be able to choose their 2 traits. If you think about it, it's not supposed to be easier. It's more of a challenge. I think you missed that.
Having them all grow up well is still cake, you don't have to help them with their homework for that. The point of the random traits is to make the experience a bit more unorthodox, obviously. And I for one approve of that part of it, I mean I wouldn't have chosen the first 2 traits of the latest heir to be Brave, and Couch Potato, but it makes it interesting none the less.
