I've posted on my blog here about my progress with the legacy (and did one chapter of story, but I just don't think I have time for doing that properly and for actually playing the game) if anyone is interested in reading. I don't want to gum up this thread with my ramblings. My gen 2 heir is just now pregnant with what will hopefully be my gen 3 heir.
I will mention, however, the optional "rules" that I've added on for my own enjoyment, in case anyone else finds them fun or interesting:
- Generational names will follow an A, B, C order (Gen 1 with A, etc.)
- One parent of the heirs will be a stay at home parent, no career and no part-time job.
- No maid service allowed until at least the fifth generation (and maybe not ever).
- The current two-bedroom one-bath house will not have any rooms added to it (though decorating changes are allowed). Instead, any extra funds will be spent building a mansion on the opposite corner of the property.
