I'm jumping in, too. I started my legacy today, and already have the first baby born...
I only have one question, though:
Please, is there anyone here on a Mac who can tell me how to operate the camera??? The way it's going now it takes me hours and hours in game just to get the painting window somewhere in the neighborhood of my Sim's face. I have tried and tried, up to where I had to stop free will, make the Sim sit or stand somewhere and spend three game-hours (feels like RL hours... LOL) to get the face even somewhere within the frame...
If there's something I could do to my settings - in-game or just the Mac in general, can someone please tell me?? I am certain it's a Mac-related problem, most of the keyboard commands don't seem to work for me either... :(
I can't help you with the controls, sorry, but a trick I use to get the portraits are making my subject do an activity that is exemplary of who they are just before I tell the artist to paint. That way the subject is relatively stationary when I snag the portrait. For example, my founders LTW was to be a super spy so I had her put on her uniform and write a report. The picture is of her sitting at the computer. Her husband wanted to be an athlete so I had him get on the treadmill. It is still challenging to get a good picture painted though.
