What does xcpt Desktop mean?

Those are crash logs. You get two, one text and one memory dump, each time the game crashes. They are generally useless and can be deleted.

Well, that's difficult to say without more information to go on. The game probably crashes on most of us at least every once in a while, does this happen often? Reasons can range from bad CC to conflicting mods to hardware and driver issues. Can we get some specs or a dxdiag report on this new computer?

Are you getting any sound through any output device or speakers at all? There are many monitors I've seen where I've never gotten the speakers to work and have had to make the sound go through the main unit or use plugged in external speakers.

No sound is coming through the monitor speakers? Is that the problem? This wouldn't be related to the game assuming you mean you can't get sound using anything in general.

How is the monitor hooked up? By HDMI? If the computer is Windows 10... Make sure Windows is using the monitor's speakers (Default). Windows search Control Panel and click on Sound or Hardware and Sound. From there, go to properties with the monitor's speakers making sure it's set as default.

I'm not an audio snob but in general, built-in speakers are usually poor quality anyways. My monitor is nice but the speakers aren't very loud and the sound quality is 'meh'. Soon after purchasing this monitor; I decided to get external speakers. The Logitech Z200 speakers are affordable and great quality for the price. ($20-$30 USD depending on store/stock and sales)

The drivers on your Radeon RX 550 card likely need to be updated, what you have would be over five months old. The best place to find updated drivers would be the computer manufacturers website (HP) on their support section and see what they have to offer for your model number or service tag.

The card will need its frame rate limited by way of the Radeon Pro control panel or, if that doesn't work, then a third party program like RivaTuner Stats Server (RTSS) if you haven't tended to this already. TS3 has no functional built-in fps limiter. You can check the actual frame rates you are getting in-game by doing ctrl+shift+C to bring up the cheats console then type fps on (enter). As you play and move the game camera around, the displayed frame rate should never exceed the refresh rate of your monitor. Most are 60 Hz, so 60 fps, some can run higher. To make the display go away, cheats console again and fps off (enter).

@igazor : I went to hp support and downloaded the driver I think was for the graphics card. But when I tried my sims 3 game to load, it went straight back to desktop after it got the loading screen. I tried the official amd Radeon site too.

Unless another player here has a Radeon card in that series or close to it, I think you will have to contact HP customer support for further assistance. At the very least, they should be able to help you figure out if what you installed was indeed a driver update for your card and how to roll it back if that is the right thing to do.
