What exactly makes the Sims 3 perform so poorly?

1.Bad CC or too much CC.
2.Computer doesn't meet requirements
3.Graphics settings to high, your FPS isn't capped etc.
4.Stuck sims, cars etc.

Tips:
Clear the game's cache between each session.
Disable memories.
Remove all screenshots from the screenshot folder.
Run your save through a save cleaner.
