I use a lot of different styles depending on my story to be honest, but if I just want to make money I start up a resort and try to get the most hotel towers into it.
I like building so set up is fun for me and in game I could have one resort giving about 40 000 simolieans a day.
Self-employment and collectibles are close seconds and I use them more when I'm not just trying to game the system for money.
