I selected collecting objects from the ground, but that is when my household(s) need extra cash for something. Other than that, because I play so many households in each world, I keep their occupations diversified - some are rabbitholes, some are self-employed, some are involved in ambitions careers, and so forth. I like to only have 4 or 5 Sims involved in each possible career, although sometimes there are more - and that mostly depends on the number of households I play per world - usually 30+, as well as the number of working people in each household.
