I prefer not having to follow a set work schedule and dislike the interruptions of being on call for some of the RH jobs, so I almost always opt for self-employed careers. I like that my Sims can be home with their young families and can choose not to work on any given day. There’s also something especially satisfying about my Sims being able to consign paintings, sculptures, widgets, etc., that they’ve created themselves. And my self–employed gardeners are usually paired with self-employed fishermen, nectar-makers or alchemists, so they are true helpmates contributing to the success of the partner’s career. Collecting is another money-making activity I enjoy so I’ll often utilize that one too, either as a self-employed career, as a side job or for a fun hobby/money-maker for the kids.
