Who're You?

So, yesterday was my birthday :)
Got a new laptop to play my Sims on, it's been fun so far, can run it on higher settings and all that.. However something has happened recently and I'm not sure why? Whenever I start up a new Sunset Valley, there's a lot more people in the town than usual, some that are suppose to be gravestones / ghosts in the graveyard and some times they're living on community lots? Queenie, Kermit and Kitty Landgraab are currently living in the Barney's Salon and Tattoo and MaleGhosts are living in Grady's Junkstop :D

I'm just curious if this has happened to others or perhaps it's an effect from a mod I'm using?
As far as I know, it's only happening in Sunset Valley lol

  • Are they ghosts or are they human? Are you using an edited version of Sunset Valley? The second question is because I saw exactly one post from someone playing an edited Twinbrook and noting all the ghosts there were human and homeless (obviously homeless sims would congregate where homeless sims work, like the salon) That blog I saw it on is long dead so all you have is this urban legend...a ghost story if you will. :scream:

Weird if it's a fresh Sunset Valley though.

They're human from what I can tell, I'm also not playing any edited world of Sunset Valley :D
If you try to play them the game glitches out, I just had to forcefully exit, so noted, don't play them lol

  • What you have described can happen if you revert an ongoing game session to the Main Menu and startup or load a different save without having quit the game all the way to the Desktop (or Origin if relevant) in between. There is always a risk that the sim data from the prior game session doesn't get entirely released from RAM in between and then gets super-imposed on the next game/world loaded up with all kinds of mismatched results.

The NRaas Traveler mod is known to make this more of a risk, but it also happens to players without it and with no mods at all.

    I see :o
  • I had this when I started up my Legacy, but I had a Save that became Corrupted before I started playing. I managed to TA most of the Sims that were supposed to be ghosts. I think it's because the town I was playing in when the Save is corrupted is Sunset Valley. I haven't had this in Riverview yet.
  • I believe it's fixed now, I've been so tired lately :D even fell asleep once during game play!
