I tried to change my password and I tried to repair the game.
@JojoForand Please go into Applications > Utilities, open Keychain Access, search for sims3 , and delete any entries you see. Then try again to login to the launcher.
If that doesn't help, please contact EA customer support and ask the support rep if there's anything wrong with your EA account itself. This reminds me of another thread I saw a few months ago, where the user had to contact support to get something reset with their account. But they didn't actually say what it was—I don't think they knew—only that support had to help, and then they could download Store content again.
If you don't get anywhere with support, let me know, and I'll see if I can dig up any more information.

@JojoForand Please clear the EA App's cache:
and repair the game: open your game library, click Sims 3, and select Manage > Repair. Then try again to download a Store item.

it's saying the same thing... I don't know why the game doesn't want to download something
