Can't interact with certain objects

And by that, I mean when
I click on something to make him do an action, nothing happens. But it only happens on some items. For example, he can talk to people, and animals normally, but if I want him to sleep, when I click on the bed, nothing happens. But if I make him garden, or get something out of the refrigerator, it works, but if I click on the shower, nothing happens.
I reinstalled the latest version of my only mod--the twallans story progression mod, and it seemed to fix some of the things that he couldnt do, but not all of them.

I also tried 'resetSim' and that didnt fix it. And the problem is for only this one sim, all of my other sims are working fine I think.
 
I dont have any custom content, only some things from the sims store

Anyone know whats going on? any help is appreciated. Thanks!

    after you reinstalled the mod did you clear your cache files ? try first launch your game and see if he functions and i'll be posting anoter post in a mo  with a tip or two that may work

    delete the cach files go to electronic arts/the sims 3/

     •CasPartCache.package

    •compositorCache.package

    •scriptCache.package

    •simCompositorCache.package

    •socialCache.package.package

    it's safe to delete these files as a new ones will regenerate

    i deleted all of them except for the social cache one, when i downloaded the new mod, ill go delete the other one though and see if that works.

    the other thing is try is via edit town move the sim out and back in or it could be the objects themselves you can use a cheat to reset the objects before using the cheat just go to buy mode and move the objects a little bit in case they are too close to a wall if the sim can't use the objects the cheat to reset an object is

    to reset an object testingcheatsenabled true hit enter  then go into build mode and hold ctrl & shift and click on the bed with the mouse and choose the option reset

    same with the shower hold ctrl & shift and click on the shower with the mouse and choose the option reset , don't forget to turn the cheat off turn the cheat off testingcheatsenabled false hit enter

    I tried reseting the objects, and evicting them and moving them back in, and niether of them worked...

    this problem isnt a huge problem, i cant still play the sim fairly well, its just super annoying.

    welcomes in anyways 🙂 i do understand how annoying something like that can be hmm maybe save a copy the family to the libiary via edit town start a new a game and see if that sorts it

    @dpain713  Since this thread is several years old, it would be easier if you made your own thread describing your issue in detail.  Please include the troubleshooting steps you've already tried, if any, that haven't worked.
