CAW - create a world crash - other memory corrupt

And just checking, but did you download the CAW version for Origin?  You want the one labeled as compatible with patch 1.69 here:

Did you log in? Or did you just agree to the TOS and click for the download? If you've not logged in it just gives you a blank box.

You must sign in .   took me weeks to figure that one out lol . 

Thank you for these links.  I was having the same issues even after logging in and trying three different browsers.  I've now downloaded both and will put them in my DO NOT DELETE folder.

I'm having the exact same problem and I don't know what to do. 
I've been working on a world for months and I'm so disappointed. 
If anyone could help me solve this, I would really appreciate it ☹️

I already uninstalled and installed CAW twice, still nothing. 
Same message:

I kept my worlds files saved on my Desktop so I don't loose them.
Hopefully I can continue from where I left it before it crashed. 
If eventually manage to run CAW again... phhhh ☹️

@Libersim  A dxdiag is a type of report on your system that lists a lot of possibly relevant info: driver versions and dates, Windows error reports, plus most of the hardware.  The idea is to look for obvious problems and address them, then see whether the app works.

Having said that, you may have better luck on the (still very new) official EA forums.  Some players there actively use CAW and may be able to help walk you through the troubleshooting process.  I'd post in Sims 3 General Discussion since that's where most players are looking.
