deleting everything from DCBackup unistalls everything from game.

I recently learned from friends and research that you should delete your DCbackup once a week just to help with glitches and speed of the game. Everytime I delete the items from DCBackup, minus the ccmerge, everything uninstalls from the game.

Sims 3, EP's, SP's all downloaded from Origin.  I have downloaded a bit from TSR.  I no longer download from the exchange or think I have anything left from an exchange download. I have windows 7.

  • With everything you mean store content/cc or also the game itself ?

DCBackup is really nothing more than a backup. DCCache is what you can't delete but DCBackup should not be an issue.

    Hi Crinrict,

It's not the back up, its the DCCache.  I read a response you gave to someone saying that it was safe to delete chache files.  So I was deleting the standard 4 being CasPart cache, compositive cache, script cache, simcompositive cache.  But with your response, thought DCCache was fine to.  I have since read a description for everything under Sims3 and know that I can't delete that particular one.  But I've turned this experience into a positive and have taken a few days to organize my downloads.  Makes me feel a whole lot better.

    ThanX anyway!
