Do you need the suggested expansion pack for a custom world?
I have downloaded a couple of Sims 3 fan-made worlds before, making sure I had the expansion packs they said I needed; But now there is one world I really want, but I don't have one of the expansion packs they said you need for it -- Do I really need the expansion, or will it do something weird to my game?
(If it helps, this is a downtown/suburb world and they say I need World Adventures which I don't have)

As a custom world, the best you can do is ask the creator of that world. Some worlds can work without all the suggested EPs, but I have some issues of game crashes if I hadn't got all the EPs.
