- Are you using mods or did you do so before installing UL ?
Nope
- Are you playing a game you started before UL or did you start a new one ?
I attempted to fix the problem with both a game I started before and games that were new.
- Are you playing with a fresh Sim or did you import one from the library ?
I had both fresh sims and library sims.
- Were you able to go to graduation or did all go wrong before ?
In my first game (with a fresh family from before UL) they were able to graduate. With all my other families, they werent able to come back after the first term.
- Are you able to invite friend/family ?
In the first game, yes.
- Did Sims you invite attend the graduation ?
Yes
- Do you have any duplicate Sims in your relationship bar ?
No
- For how many terms did your sim go to Uni ? 1 or 2 ?
In my first game 2, in all subsequent games, 1
- Try to describe as detailed as possible what happens
My first game resulted in successful graduation, but due to another glitch was rendered unplayable. I tried again with another family (fresh) and they went through 1 semester and were unable to come back from university. I ended up trying different towns, fresh vs. library sims, sending the entire family to University, different term lengths, different credit amounts, saving before returning and reloading the game over and over, and the result remained the same. The home town would load, but the sims would not. I ended up contacting EA support and they suggested three options.
1. Remove save folder out of the Electronic Arts document folder while in gameplay and trying to go home with save folder removed
2. Putting .backup on the regular save file and removing .backup from the backup file
3. Uninstalling/reinstalling the Sims 2 University Life.
None of those things worked for me, but I figured they wouldnt tell me to do it if it didnt work for some people. Anyway, it seems as if EA has run out of fixes for me. Any insight?
