It went to the travelling home screen and never loaded the home world., so I couldn't reset my sims or do anything else...however, the last time I tried, he actually made it back. His house and family was a little weird at first (I couldn't see the interior of the house, unless I zoomed out, but I made a new save, quit and tried again today and it worked fine)...followed all the precautions this time, so that might have had something to do with it, but I don't know.
going to try again with the 3rd sim in the family tomorrow and we'll see how that goes.
