Error Message when attempting to download

Do you have enough disc space left ? Did you erase all traces from the failed download ?

Yes, and the download never starts, so there is nothing to erase. It "Prepares to download" for about 3 minutes then gives me an error. Never creates a new file.

Try cleaning all your internet caches and cookies.

trying to download sims3 seansons from orgin and i keep getting error code 7049:408 unspecified download error

Okay, so I ordered the new Sims 3 University Life expansion pack so I would be able to get the limited edition stuff. So then when I got the email saying that I was able to download it, I followed the instructions on what to do, because I had never preordered one before, I went into Origin, went under "My Games," clicked on University, and then clicked on the button that said Download, then the button would expand and say,  "Preparing Download..." And then a couple minutes later a message would pop up saying, "An unspecified download error has occurred. Please cancel and restart your download. Error: 7049: 408"
And then when I try and update my game the little box thing would come up, but it would just say that it's paused, no matter what I did it wouldn't change. I don't know what's wrong, I would really appreciate some help.

I bought the Sims 3 through Origin and everything went ok until now. Every time I try to download it I get a message "An unspecified downlaod error has occured. Please cancel and restart your download. Error: 7049:408"

I have already done what it says in the help section and I get the same message.  I might not have been able to disable my anti-virus.  I thought I did, but I can't get rid of the message and download my game.

Help my please.

Try uninstalling and instaling Origin, if after this it continues to give the same error, please contact EA so that they can help you.
