    Hi, thanks I contacted EA and the sent me a link to download a new patch which fixed the problem, thanks anyway though.

@keeks2605 try loading a backup

To restore a backup, do the following. Let's assume that your file name is called Sunsetvalley.sims3

  • Go to documents / electronic arts / sims 3 / saves
  • You'll see a Sunsetvalley.sims3 file and you'll see a Sunsetvalley.sims3.backup file 
  • Rename the Sunsetvalley.sims3 file (right click on the file and choose "rename") to newbackup.sims3123
  • Rename the Sunsetvalley.sims3.backup to Sunsetvalley.sims3


Now try launch the save - let me know how it goes
