While we are at it: I started a new Sunset Valley yesterday and I got that lag immediately. It's so fresh that even the time portal hasn't appeared yet.
I'd take that so you don't have to bother with installing a custom world.

@venusdemilosims and ceejay: I tried a factory reset but that didn't help it.
Heck this game is unplayable anyway and so I decided to reinstall now. I haven't got anything better do do.

Good luck Cyron! So far so good with this reset but I haven't played it a long time.... when my saves started acting up on the desktop it was after a couple trips to Oasis Landing and a week or so of gameplay. Even my sim's poor plumbot shorted out and nothing worked. My new graphics card should be in either later this week or early next week...
