Glad to have found this post as I am having some of these issues as well and was starting to think I was losing my mind a bit LOL.
I have the clock freezing issues, and my game has frozen to the point I had to shut down my computer, as the world carried on but my Sim did not for 2 hours real time she just stood there and I could not do anything or in the game, not reset her nothing.
I tried pulling all cc and mods etc, to see if that was it but same issues.
Started a new Sims 3 folder with a new Sim no store or mods or cc and same issues.
I hope I am helping with this problem, as I am not very computer savvy, but this is what I have tried with no changes to the problem.
