Help with Sims 3 Simport

did you  just name it .sims3 or add a name before the .sims3  for example SSV.sims3

With the name before, -name-.sims3

Uninstalled Showtime, origin said I needed to download the basegame from origin to redownload it so I uninstalled the base game, downloaded both the base game and Showtime and STILL it doesn't work :catmad:

i'm not forgetting you  trying to find a solution or hopefully someone else will see this and jump on in with a solutin too

Thanks, it's just sad because I'd love to get all of my badges ☹️ My husband got my island paradise for our anniversary so I'll try to forget about not being able to use Simport in the meantime ☹️

i know how you feel about the badges i don't bother with them anymore if i happen to unlock one as i'm playing that's fine by me

i'm just wondering with the uninstalling of the showtime one if there were left over files and registry keys that were missed per say (not by you but by the game ) that they weren't uninstalled properly and that the game "thinks" it's installed but it it isn't...have you tried the manually uninstall ? then reinstall

just in case you don't have the how to https://help.ea.com/article/manually-uninstalling-the-sims-3-showtime  also if you have ccleaner run that and the registry cleaner part of it a couple of times to clean out the registry keys before reinstalling the showtime

I'm just saving my saves and about to delete all of my sims 3 etc and getting rid of the registry as I cannot even send sims to university now. Then redownload EVERYTHING, this will take awhile :womansad:

Thank you, this is going to take me a few days to download everything thing I have a lot of the sims 3 o.o;

wait...make a copy of your downloads folder save it to the desktop then install your items from the dl folder save all that dling from the ph then just look at dashboard to see what items were missed if any, make a note of them then dl from the ph
