Right. Thank you. I was using the custard tool but when I recently went to download it to another computer, I couldn't seem to find it on Delphy's profile on MTS. Maybe I just wasn't looking hard enough but I swear I checked like 3 or 4 times. I eventually navigated to it through a link on a thread here, I just thought it was odd it wasn't easily findable now as it was before. I know I remember seeing it there right at the top! >.< Maybe I'm crazy. So then I thought maybe he took it down because it wasn't compatible with the latest patch. So that's why I asked. I thought maybe you knew something I didn't. Anyways, that's what I'm using now but since you said you are using both custard and the dashboard (which I don't know much about) is there a significant difference between the two or an advantage to using one over the other or just using both? Thank you so much for your help :)
Dashboard is used for (.package) files. These will be found in wherever you have your Mod/Packages folder set up. Either under Programs (old way) or Documents (New Way). (.package) files ARE NOT installed via the launcher. You simply place them in your Mods/Packages folder.
Custard is used for (.sims3pack) files. These are the CC files from the store, exchange, and/or some other 3PCC creators. They are located in your game data files in the Downloads folder. (.sims3pack) files must be installed via the games launcher. Use Custard on downloads and exports to make sure whatever you download/upload to or from the exchange is clean of corrupt content.
NOTE: Both tools will turn corrupt content RED!
Technically, all a (.sims3pack) files is... is a bunch of (.package) files compressed into one file.
