How to re-install the EA Download Manager ( The Sims 3 )

A couple years back I downloaded the sims 3 generations. Since i have uninstalled. just earlier, i redownloaded. which was fine, but among installing it told me to update my game through the game lau...

EA Download manager is now Origin that one --->https://www.origin.com/en-us/store/   and sometime what can stop the connection is anti virus/firewall blocking it

in the launcher  hover your mouse over the base game icon it should if it updated say 1.67 anything way under it like for examples 1.53 or 1.09 you may need the superpatch download the file then run it http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-3/FAQ-Current-Patch-1-67-Manual-links-and-more/m-p/67858#M3515
