I moved a family to a new town and now I cannot get back to my other families. Can someone please help me!!!???

    Don't think there's anything else you can do. If the backups are from the wrong point in time and there isn't another savegame, you will need to go back to your june files.

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to this, but I have been terribly sick. I took the backup out, but it didn't change anything. I have about 11 saved games, but they are not all the same. I only have 🏀 that are Appaloosa Plains, which I have been playing for awhile and 🏀 Lucky Palms, which I just moved my family to. Yes, I did try renaming the file that was not a back-up, but I cannot remember to what. I think I dropped the "sims3" and named it to something else, or might have taken it out and tried renaming the backup. What should I rename it? Or, is it easier to just go to the backup I have saved from June?

You need to move out the .sims3 one and remove the .backup from the backup file so that the backup has the extension .sims3.

Could you please accept a solution so people know that this is solved and what the solution was.

    It would have worked, but it did not go back far enough. It went as far back as the second save, not the first, before I moved the family, which is what I need, to get back to the original Appaloosa Plains. I tried going through the University to get back to my original families, but that didn't work, either. I don't know what else to try, unless there is something further you can help with. I will just use my old game. I'll save what I still have in case you think of something. I do thank you for your assistance. It was greatly appreciated as always.

        That's what I thought and I already did. And thanks again for your help. Have a ton of work to do to get to where I was, but a lot better than starting from ground zero. I would do a little cheating and grow them up and buy their degrees, but I always try to make matches during UL and am hoping to make the same couples. We'll see how it goes. And I will probably create a saved game once a month...lol....  Thanks again!!
