If I buy a Sims 3 expansion from a UK store, will it work on an NZ computer?

if you where to buy it from Origin you would need to be logged in to her Origin account for the purchase as Origin purchase are digital downloads and automatically placed to the account that places the purchase

I'm sure for a hard copy (disk) the code could be redeemed  in the Origin my games tab for the digital version then she'd have the best of both worlds her game + the box

just do not buy used/2nd hand as it will be no good because the code will be tied to the original owners account

no she'll need to be logged into her account to redeem the code as this will activate the code to her account  and she can then download and install  the expansion after that she can play offline ( i play offline most of the time)

tip: also get her to back up her stuff as a precaution  it's something a lot of sim players do just in case something happens like a save can't be found/goes "missing" or before installation of a pack update/patch
