Hi, I'm seeing that my sims can look through window but can't in some neighborhood. I'm curious what makes the sims can look into the window. Googled but coudln't find about my curiosity. Thanks very mcuh in advance. 🙂
@aodoherty I don't know either, but does it matter whether the house is on a foundation, or anyone is home, or what traits the sim has?
Mostly the insane sims enjoy it themselves, but I had the option,'look through', although my sim didn't have insane trait. Tried some neighborhood windows in Moonlight Falls.
This base game window and also supernatural window are possible even though the house was built on a foundation and no one in it. I have 2 active sims in my household, both are able to look through this house. My sim A has brave,perfectionist, Party Animal, Easily Empressed, and Ambitious. My sim B has Athletic, Ambitious, Artistic, Angler and Perfectionist.
This window is the base item, but neither can look into. Tried other 3 hourses butonly Van Gould house had this option. Maybe random..?
@aodoherty The first house has a foundation, but the sim can stand on the porch to look in. There's no porch for the sim to stand on for the second house, and I can't tell whether the third house is on a foundation or not. The point is, the sim might need to be able to stand on the same level as the window.
If the issue is the type of window, you could test by editing the houses to change windows, placing ones you know work some of the time in other builds.
This house is built on the ground. I'm on Aurora Skies world.
Any windows, he can't look through. I've experienced before that my sim could activate the entire house when he looked through his friend''s.
@aodoherty Then I don't know what else to suggest, except trying different combinations of houses and windows. You do have a couple of windows you know work, so it should be simple to test... if you want to put in the time. It might not be worth the effort.
