After installing the game on a brand new computer last week, tonight I got this error message:

and all my saved games are thrashed. No sims in any world, although the saved games load as if they're okay, but they're not.
My computer has Intel i7, 16GB ram, Win7 64bit home professional, Nvidia GeForce GTX 2GB, everything updated, virus scnned, etc
Playing Sims3, World Adventures, Nightlife, University, Into the Future, Ambitions
How do I fix this problem? If I have to wait for EA to fix it ...How will I know?

Yeah, it seems that one is back yet again.

+1 I have the same problems.
re-installed on my computer after loosing my external drive.
Exact same JS error.
Also: Windows 7 64bit Pro, NVIDIA GTX 675M, iexplore 11, running on E: drive (not C: - insufficient space to install all my Sims content on my SSD). Windows, Drivers, .Net, Java, Flash, Air, iexplore are all up to date.
I've forwarded it. There's nothing you guys can do about it.
It should not limit gameplay. Just click yes or no and then play.
