I have had + or - the same problem, don't know, how is called this beach (it was this one with rocks and I think turtle spawners). My sim at 9th level of LG career for 4 days (slow ascending, because high athletic level = another bug).
When he arrived on the beach with speedboat, because called at work, in career clothing, he becomes invisible and then game crashed. I have tried load the same save - after exiting from the game and cleaning all junk files - and my sim ated again from the game and game crashed again.
I'm using recently only Twallans mods (OW, SP & SPExtra, MC & MCnCheats, DE, Traveller, ET + some stencils and shifting fixes, unlocked ShT rewards).
I ever don't understood, what messed up my save. I have posted question on NRaas, but still not found solution for this issue (maybe for my horrible english).
I'm using those mods for long time and never caused this type of problem. This should be 1.55 - messing up my game.
Ahh Bily~ I'm sorry to hear that we are having kinda the same issue. :/ I also clean out my cache files before I begin my game. And also the Current Game Folder, because sometimes when you're game crashes, files get left in this folder, and it can make your current game unstable. Delete these too if you do not already.
As for why the Lifeguard career is causing us problems - and not other people... I don't understand that myself. I've been doing a lot of reading on the internet trying to figure it out.. but I'm just holding out hope that when a new patch comes out, our problems will be addressed. If I find out anything on my own - I will be sure to post back here and let you know. :) As for your game. You could try what I did. When you're game loads, Keep it paused. Find the City Hall and click on it selecting NRAAS, then MasterController. Somewhere in the commands for MC there is an Option to reset the town. NOT Annihilate ... just reset. It will take a few minutes. In Isla Paradiso, I get a msg that says over 12,000 objects were reset. Then I immediately "Save AS". giving my game a new name. (The game is still Paused) :) My game usually runs really well... though as I've said, I'm avoiding sending him to work. I hope this helps you... at least temporarily. :) Good Luck!!
