Launcher crashes when I open the downloads tab in Sims 3

puzzlezaddict​ I moved the entire Sims 3 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts onto my desktop, there were no problems but the forward steps didn't work unfortunately - launcher crashes when I try to download the world from downloads tab, even in a new admin account.

No, I don't use a third-party antivirus or any kind of cleaner app.
