Hi goldsparkles,
What does it say in the error message that pops up?
What is your current patch level? If you are at 1.67 then that's the latest patch.
Do you manually reset your RAM while you are playing? Do you save frequently?

the error message says
a serious error has occured while loading 'anna.sims3:Bridgeport_0x09ffe3d7'. It is strongly recommended that you restart the application.
my current patch level is 1.67
i save frequently
i did try reseting the ram after you suggested it but nothing changed

Hi
Go into Documents on your Mac and look inside the folder called "Electronic Arts", then the folder called "The Sims 3", then in "Saves". All your save game files are there. Do you see any that have .bad as the end of the file name? If so, you will need to delete these as they are corrupt. For the particular game you have having trouble with, if there is a backup version of the save file, you might want to try deleting the save and then taking the .backup of the file name of the backup, so that it will use that instead. See if it then works.
Also try loading a different save completely, or start a new game, and test that you don't ge tthe same error with that.
