My Origin account is saying its offline and i need a critical update!

Well, my origin is saying up at the top and in the library that its offline. ive rebooted, and restarted it. i cant figure out. and im getting real mad. what do i do? i need to install Sims3 and i cant do that if your dumb origin says its offline when clearly its connected.
