It think Dragon Valley just became corrupted or something, but even when doing the stuff you suggested, it restored my very old Sims game, but couldn't restore Dragon Valley. I tried installing it again, but it only told me that it couldn't be installed and to make sure everything was up to date. D:
@AlexisCHusbus If your re installing DV you need to un install through the launcher. download -delete. The game controls worlds and the world's contents. It probably wouldn't hurt to run a registry cleaner like ccleaner (there is a free version) after you delete the pack. Then try to INSTALL the pack again.
Did you try to remove all the save games and see if the game runs? You could try the factory reset - TS3 factory reset this will tell you if the game is bad or if user data is causing the problem.
