Origin installed the Sims 3 Seasons but it won't show up in the game {Computer}

So I got the Sims 3 Seasons yesterday by downloaded code on th receipt. I went home and first thing I did was try to follow the instructions on the receipt. After a good hour or two I finally figured out what to do and it downloaded and installed to my computer. I go into the game and everything and I even created a new sim and when I actually started playing, nothing showed. No leaf for fall or snowflake for winter. Nothing at all. Only the full moon sign from I dowloaded Supernatural. I'm worried the issue is because I have the Supernatural disk in and not the base game's disk and that I'll have to switch it out. I worry because I downloaded the base game after my friend lent me the disk for a good week or so along with Late Night. After I gave them back to her, we got into a falling out of sorts and we instantly became enemies. After that I had to wait for like 4 months for christmas to come for me to the Supernatural expansion pack just so I could play the game again. I don't have the disk for the base game or any other disk and that has me scared. Does anyone know what to do?
