Playing sims without Internet through Origin?

I am having wifi issues on my laptop, and I have the base game & University Life already downloaded. However, when I try to launch to game, it says that I need to be connected to the internet for "verification." I have put Origin in offline mode AND opened the game without the launcher and neither has worked. If anyone has a patch or knows anything that could help, please share!
