Previously activated game says it needs to be activated

Question

I activated this game last year on my origin acount and have had no problems with it. Until just resently when I try to start the game it says that I need to activate the game by putting in the product code again. I tried to re-enter the code but it says it is already in use. I now can not play the game and I am at a loss as to what to do to fix this.

Activation and registration are two different things. You can only register the game once and that code is tied to the account used to register (or buy from Origin) the game. Activation occurs the first time you play the digital download version of the game. The game uses SecuROM for drm and the game needs to communicate with a server to activate the game. Did you create a new Origin account?
