I downloaded some custom content onto the game, and it was fine, and then I downloaded some people and it spazzed. All of my saved sims in the sim bin are gone, and all but three of the custom content things are gone. And they had installed before? I tried to re-install them but all that happened is it said it had done it, but it had just made a copy of the three that were left again before?
Please help me, i'm so confused. I really loved the custom content. D:
where did you get the cc from ? the sims 3 store ? the exchange ? or a non ea site ?

you may also have gotten some non ea cc items attached to the exchange items which does happen to the items you downloaded start uninstalling the items you got from the exchange starting with whatever the last ones were which you think may have caused this there are a couple of steps you need to follow to uninstall the items
fist go to documents find the ea folder folder the next folder is sims 3 open that find the saves folder open that see if your saved games are still there if the saves are still there then all is not lost once that is done close all the folders
start your launcher go the the installed content tab tick the run without cc hit play and see if your game loads up and is playable ( you may get a message that says objects missing and have been replaced this will happen as you have ticked the run without cc option ) IF your game is playable then you'll know it is cc related quit your game then
to uninstall
1 launch the launcher
2 go to installed content tab
3 find the items in the list of installed content tick the uninstall the launcher will uninstall the item
4 go to the ea/sims3 folder find the downloads folder open that and find the item you just installed delete it
5 go to the DCBackup folder delete the files there DO NOT DELETE THE CCMERGED.PACKAGE FILE

It's playable anyway. There are just no custom content items. My saves are all fine. But I do have to safe run, which is weird.
Also, it says the items I want are installed, but they don't show up.
They don't show up in the game I mean, in the saved sim bin. They're just not there. And neither are all my saved sims that I made. ☹️
you can rescue your sims that you made as long as you have them in a game send a sim to the dressser then save sim to bin (just test with one sim ) quit your game then go to the ea/sims 3 folder saved sims to see if the sim is saved
i'm thinking over the rest of your issue to see what can be done to help or hopefully one of our other helpers can help
Are the files in the savedSims folder in documents ?
p.s. is your game uptated patch wise ?
