Purchased Ultra Kitchen Lounge 2x and unable 2 drag items to home from S3 store

So I am understanding the difference between Origins version of Sims 3 and EA.  I am currently running Origins version $12.95 for Sims 3, generations, pets and seasons PACK.  SO...I have the language set to English and my Sims people speak foreign Asian language.  I'm fine with that I'll just play on mute.  Next, I downloaded Ultra Kitchen Lounge after spending $20 on 2,000 sim points from EA.  IT cost me 450 sim points.   The download was semi-successful...It appears in my Sims 3 store when I open the module after signing in at the Launcher.  However when I drag item from Store menu, and try to place my item in their Sims home,  it just disappears, even though it has the little "sims 3 diamond" like it acknowledged it was paid for but just needed to be placed.  So then I saw the option to get Ultra Kitchen/Bath for 730 sim points .  Bought it!  Downloaded it!  It then is acknowledged   in the Sims Module like its ready for drag and drop, and does the same issue.  Is this a Sims Game download issue, do I just need to pay for the AE version and play from a completely new Sims Game?  Please Respond, I'm having like two families running and they hate me already. Super bummed that I've failed them.

    Okay,  I appreciate you clarifying , I'm little lost.  device is PC/tab.  Surface Pro 4.  when on Sims 3, I definitely operate in PC mode.  Also when I download/install I save/quit and restart device just to make sure.

    @zigzagrena Start the game. Did you install the items from the download tad in the game launcher that starts when you start the game?  After the items are installed to the game from the launcher download tab you need to start your world and open the build/buy mode and find your items and drag and drop from there.

    I see what your saying...after the items are downloaded in the blue module/exchange, next computer is restarted and then when I open the Sims3 game the issue is the drag/drop.   I'm going to check my .bin tomorrow and manually sift through some installs and make sure they processed and try it all again.
