if you have the save game before you started to delete the walls just go back to that save and resend your sim off to china if not then

 go to edit town save the sim household  that were on the quest  to the library start a new game ( saving the family to the bin they will keep whatever simoleons and items they have in the inventory ) once your sims are settled into their home you can send the sim off to china

once one starts deleting walls in tombs the hidden switches to open doors/unlock doors have been deleted so that's where your problem came in

your sim that is in china if he or she learns to  mediate after i think of the top of my head it's a 150 hours amount of meditating they will have an option to zeneport to an area but in order to learn the zeneport they will have to learn the simfu martial arts
